In our discovery or professionally led workshops, participants explore the various disciplines of the circus arts. Depending on the type of workshop selected, participants will try their hand at juggling (scarves, balls, rings, flowersticks, diabolos, plates and clubs), balancing on an apparatus (pedal steppers, beams, balance ball, rolla bollas, slack lines), aerial acrobatics (fixed trapeze on self-supported structure), basic floor acrobatics, or clowning.
Workshops prioritize safety and comply with the public health measures in effect, while maintaining their focus on having fun.
Floor workshop:
Le Gros Orteil will show up at your indoor or outdoor event or festival with its circus equipment, rope off an activity zone and invite guests to come play freely with the equipment and try their hand at the various circus arts. Floor and aerial options are both available for circus discovery workshops.
This professionally led and participatory activity can be presented in daycare centres, schools, libraries, community centres or other venues. Our strength is the artistic aspect we add to physical activity. Using this approach, we introduce children, aged 1 to 12 years, to the circus arts, leading groups to discover its various disciplines. Each workshop begins with a presentation of the artist’s craft and the circus world, as well as the safety basics. After a warm-up, our trained workshop leaders introduce the children to various circus techniques. A demonstration closes the workshop. Floor and aerial options are both available for professionally led circus workshops.
